Introducing Grooming to your dog.

Updated: Dec 23, 2022

Sabrina , Co-Owner and Trainer at Grassroots K9 Windsor breaks down the in's and out's on introducing grooming to your dog.

We hope you enjoy this tutorial as much as Sabrina enjoyed making it.

If we force our dogs into unfamiliar situations how can we expect them to take it in positively? Grooming is a part of a dog's lifestyle that doesn't always feel so natural to them, it needs to be introduced to them in a manner where they are willing to welcome the process. We can break down grooming into steps (nail trim, bath, intro to hair dryer and clippers) and introduce these steps to a dog individually, before we introduce the process as a whole. Introducing the process slow can assure we build a comfortable atmosphere for the dog during the groom
